About Craig Robertson

Craig, or 'Chef Robbo' as he is known, has worked in kitchens since he was 13 and has over two decades of experience in senior hospitality roles. Craig commenced his professional career at Twin Towns Resort in Tweed Heads, northern NSW. After four years as Head Chef he moved south taking up a post with Crowne Plaza Torquay on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria.

Several years later Craig accepted the position of Executive Chef for the opening of the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre. Here his passion for conferencing and large scale banqueting was developed into an art form. A post with Grand Mercure Casuarina followed, before Craig moved on to the role of Executive Chef at Novotel Palm Cove.

In 2014 Craig accepted his current role as Area Executive Chef where he manages a suite of exceptional venues in the Peppers Retreats, Resorts & Hotels portfolio. With large modern conferencing facilities at Mantra on Salt Beach and Peppers Salt Resort & Spa Craig's focus is on taking conferencing to the next level, delivering an ever-evolving menu of premium local produce for delegates to enjoy.

The onsite Season restaurant at Peppers Salt Resort & Spa is also a leading destination venue, being named a hatted restaurant in the Australian Good Food and Travel Guide for the last 5 years running.
