Alfalfa & Onion Sprouts are a totally new onion experience. Fleshy and juicy, the juvenile stems are packed with a delicious onion flavour without the impact of the bulb. Heady and aromatic when bruised, the delicate stalks also deliver a sweet, fresh alfalfa flavour.

Uses
There are a million reasons to use onion as a flavour base - in this form it can star as a flavour boosting architectural feature. Try it in sandwiches, salads or as a garnish for any savoury meal.
Appearance
Feathery, pale, lace like strands with a small green sprout. Some sprouts will have the soft onion seed head attached.
Storage
To maintain freshness, store Flowerdale Farm Alfalfa & Onion Sprouts between 1-4 degrees C. Sprouts should be consumed within 14 days of packing. Rinse lightly under cold clean water before use.
Health Benefits
Alfalfa is rich in antioxidants, containing protein, calcium, potassium, carotene, iron, and zinc. Vitamins A, B1, B6, C, E and K are also present.
