Sweet and crisp with a subtle mushroom quality, these shoots are earthy but delightfully mild. They have a gentle lead up to a fuller flavour that develops on the tongue. Flavour intensity is enhanced by the cooking process but snaps with freshness when served raw.

Uses
Summer Shoots are Asian style sprouts that are perfect in salads and stir-fries. Use in a variety of cold dishes as garnish and as a flavour base for soups, sauces and ragout.

Storage
To maintain freshness, store Flowerdale Farm shoots between 1-4 degrees C. Summer Shoots should be consumed within 14 days of packing. Rinse lightly under cold clean water before use.
Health Benefits
Summer Shoots are high in protein and provide a good source of calcium vitamin B1, C, and niacin.
