Cornflower Sangria

The perfect summer drink to enjoy with friends

For 6 people

  • 1 Bottle Red Wine (use cabernet sauvignon, merlot or shiraz)
  • 0.25 cup(s) Brandy
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 Oranges
  • 1 Lemon (thinly sliced)
  • 3 cup(s) Lemonade
  • 1 Punnet Sapphire Button Cornflowers
  • 1 cup(s) Ice Cubes (to serve)

Adjust Quantity


  1. Pluck petals off each cornflower and place in a large jug.  Add wine, brandy and cinnamon and stir to combine.  Refridgerate overnight to allow the flavours to develop.
  2. Juice 1 orange.  Halve and thinly slice remaining orange.  Add orange juice, orange slices and lemon slices to wine mixture. Top up with lemonade.  Stir to combine.
  3. Serve over ice.  Enjoy!
