Christmas Ingredient Inspiration

With Christmas just around the corner, now is the time to start planning all your special occasion meals. There is no easier way to bring these occasions to life than with a menu of unique, flavoursome produce. Try some of these simple ideas to create memorable meals.

Edible Flowers – Add edible flowers to Christmas punch, pavlovas and puddings. We recommend beautiful Turkish Delight rose petals, Petticoat Spice carnations and Sapphire Button cornflowers for brilliant colour and flavour.

Microgreens – Use microgreens in place of herbs for gourmet flavour and finish. Add Micro Chive to roasted vegetables for subtle onion flavour; use Micro Radish to create a peppery zing in meat dishes; or complement seafood with delicious Micro Dill. Micro Salad, a mix of cut microgreens and edible flowers also makes the ideal gourmet side dish.

Petite Vegetables – Put a new twist on Christmas veg by going small. Roast Petite Carrots and drizzle with honey; use Petite Radishes whole to liven up summer salads; or braise Petite Turnip in butter and a little salt for a simple and delicious side.
