In response to growing consumer demand for specialty produce, Flowerdale Farm has launched our retail microgreen range in premium Coles supermarkets throughout Victoria. Once the domain of exclusive restaurants, this specialty product is now available for home cooks to use and enjoy.
Microgreens are intensely flavoured miniature versions of your favourite herbs and vegetables. They offer a fresh alternative to traditional approaches to flavouring with herbs and a stylish alternative to traditional salad forms.
“We are delighted to be the first Australian grower to be bringing Microgreens to the mainstream retail market” says Flowerdale Farm General Manager James Rattray.
Three varieties of Microgreens are currently available through Victorian Coles supermarkets: Coriander, Red Radish and Chives. We hope to scale‐up to national distribution following the Victorian trial. Flowerdale Farm is supporting the product launch with an educational campaign advising on the use Microgreens in your cooking.
