Mache Rosettes are a winter salad variety of French origin and are also known as Lamb’s Lettuce or Corn Salad. These beautiful little rosettes are the perfect way to dress your meal, adding unique finish and flavour.
With an unusual but mild, sweet, nutty flavour, they are ideal in salads, sauces or soups. They are robust enough to be braised or sautéed and are a great complement to meat, fish, and vegetable dishes.

Nominated for the Innovators in Specialty Produce campaign, this prestigious award recognises outstanding achievement in the marketing of fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers in Australia and/or New Zealand.
As one of five finalists, Flowerdale Farm’s entry will be showcased in the upcoming winter edition of Produce Plus Magazine. The awards presentation for the winner and finalists will be conducted during the PMA Fresh Connections conference gala dinner on Wednesday 12th June at the Parkside ballroom in Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
“We are proud to be a national finalist for this award” says Flowerdale Farm marketing manager Lisa Byrne. “Flowerdale is an innovative company with a terrific approach to fresh produce.”
The company differs from competitors though it’s strong relationships with restaurants and the hospitality industry. “Flowerdale Farm aims not just to supply produce, but to become an integral partner in the development of new products and culinary concepts. The Innovators in Specialty Produce campaign successfully communicated this message to a wide range of stakeholders” says Byrne.
“This nomination is proof that with the use of modern marketing techniques you can communicate a strong message with a budget appropriate to a small to medium sized business” says Byrne. “We look forward to growing the brand further with the development of more exciting new product lines and increased national and international distribution”.

The team at Flowerdale Farm are excited to announce the launch of Ice Plant, an exclusive new speciality product. The glistening leaves of this unique succulent look like they are covered in frozen peal-like icy cells. As a costal variety, the thick, angular, heart-shaped leaves produce a juicy, salty taste.
Commonly featured in Japanese dishes, Ice Plant can be used raw or cooked. Experiment by adding to salads for a unique flavour. Leaves can be used as a spinach substitute in a wide range of meals. Ice Plant also responds well to pickling or can be used as an innovative garnish.
Ice Plant is available in punnets as part of Flowerdale Farm’s new Edible Leaves Collection.
